Project Manager / Website Operations & Maintenance Coordinator will lead a small technical web development team in support of a newly developed and deployed website with numerous stakeholders. Position focus will be in team leadership, industry best practices in a hybrid Agile development environment & standardized site support.
Creates & Manages schedule and resources of program in accordance with project requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines.
Serves as contractual and programmatic liaison to the customer; maintains customer contacts to ensure conformity to all contractual obligations.
Provide subject matter expertise and customer support to project sponsor and regularly interact with government and contractor personnel to ensure all needs are met with a timely and high-quality approach;
Implement and hone industry standard project management methodologies, such as Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile development with Scrum, ITIL, etc.;
Create metrics-based reports for the customer with recommendations on improvements and future strategies to better reach customer’s target audiences, and technological improvement recommendations
Provide all company-related administrative oversight, including timesheets, performance reviews, staffing plans, etc.;
Ensure all contractor staff follow related Army regulations at all times;
Perform regular reviews of the website and associated properties to ensure content accuracy, timeliness and relevance;
Coordinate with the other teams as necessary to ensure content on various feature microsites is updated in time for planned commemorations or events;
Ensures communication and understanding of deadlines, assignments and objectives across all stakeholders;
Drives and facilitates the project team to consistent technical performance and successful completion of task objectives within budget and on schedule;
Provides status reporting to customer, executive management, and team on progress toward objectives;
Manages and ensures all project issues are resolved promptly to avoid negative impact to the budget, schedule, or customer satisfaction;
Provides guidance to project team on implementation methodologies and internal program processes;
Develops, maintains, and reports program progress metrics.
The desired candidate must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Computer Science, or a related area of study, AND 5 or more years of relevant professional experience in website or IT management;
Experience in an IT Customer Service organization and with ITIL based procedures.
Excellent verbal and writing skills, be organized and able to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
Exemplary motivational skills, leadership skills, and vision;
Strong overall computer use skills on systems utilizing the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office;
Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop others, work with cross-functional team;
Strong people, leadership, communication and customer service skills with the ability to establish excellent internal and external customer relationships;
Solid and presentation and oral/written communication skills;
Working knowledge of government contracting and contracts administration
High degree of ethics and strong core values
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with content management systems;
Experience project management services in Department of Defense and/or Federal government environments, especially the U.S. Army;
Prior engagement experience in managing the deployment of website projects
Front end, or back end website development experience;
Prior experience using web metrics analysis software to measure audience interaction on websites and/or social media environments;
